My 5 yr old DD HATES wearing clothes and always has. Since she figured out how to take them off, they come off as soon as we get home. She is in her panties only at home, and won't even sleep with pjs. I feel like she is getting too old to prance around the house in her undies, but it's like a war not worth fighting at the moment.
Should I stick to my guns and make her leave them on, or let her prance about in the nude (with panties) for another year?
Re: my DD, the nudist
IMO, if there is no one but family at home, and she is at least wearing panties, don't create a war where you don't need to. She will eventually out grow it, and if she is wearing clothes in public, and around non family members, don't create issues. If she is comfortable enough to be nearly naked around you, making a big deal about needing to wear clothes could give her body issues, which no one wants.
You could also go all passive aggressive with it and just turn down your heat/turn up your air until it becomes so chilly in the house that she puts clothes on herself just to avoid being cold.
