canon DSLR users- wider angle lens question

?Can anyone offer me any insight on this? Thank you!!?I am ordering the canon XSI?50 mm/1.8I am not getting the kit lensWe want one more lens right now to have a wider angle for landscapes and wider for a walkaround lens than the nifty fiftyWould you get: I can't pay more than $350 right now so these are the optionsCanon Wide Angle EF 35mm f/2.0 Autofocus LensorCanon Wide Angle EF 28mm f/2.8 Autofocus LensThanks ! ?Also if purchasing from B and H is it worth paying an extra $90 for a 3 year extended warranty? (for accidental damages? ) ?I am usually against warranties but I keep going back and forth on this one

Not a Canon user, but I have shot Canon.

Get the 35mm for some reason I prefer it over the 28mm.  Also, get the warranty you never will regret getting it and will only regret it if you don't.
