Are they loud? I mostly need mine at night and I'm thinking that the noise might freak her out if she's kind of half asleep. Jilli hates having her nose cleaned out as it is and I don't want the noise to make it worse.
I may end up ordering that nose freida thing instead.
Re: Those that use the battery powered snot suckers.
Man, I could REALLY use one of those snot suckers right now. DS's nose is so nasty.
Where can they be bought?
I've seen the battery powered ones in our grocery and drug stores. Gerber makes them and I think they're either $20 or $30. Not sure.
The nose freida things I heard are coming to Target and are sold in some Whole Foods stores but so far, none that are by me.
Can't speak to the battery powered ones, but LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Nose Freida!!!! Works like magic, especially if you can get some saline in their little noses a few minutes beforehand to soften everything up.
Confession: I use it with my 3 1/2 y/o, too, who still isn't the best at blowing his nose.
Love the thing. Got ours at Whole Foods
Ok, so, with the nose Freida YOU suck the snot out? Please tell me there's a safety or something there so it doesn't go in your mouth?
(note, this is the wrong time for me to be looking at this stuff, I've been queasy all day and this is NOT helping. LOL)
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
LOL - yeah, you do the sucking
There's a sponge filter that prevents you from getting anything in your mouth, and the tubing is sooo long, I can't imagine how you would ever even come remotely close to having to worry about it. Once you get over the "I'm gonna suck snot into my mouth" issue, it's an awesome product.
And hey, even if you did, it's your baby's snot, and wouldn't you do *anything* for them - ha! LOL
LOL!! yes, I would do anything for him, but DH would not. And at the moment-he'd be the sucker.
