As long as they are different, I dont think that is too many.
I am making two turtle pumpkin cheesecakes (homemade) and having 2 regular pumpkin pies (storebought) for 16 people. But, I assume that there will be a lot left over.
Sounds fine to me. We're going to have 7 adults and 2 preschoolers. I'm planning a pumpkin cheesecake and either a pumpkin or apple pie (probably have MIL bring that). My sister is bringing this pumpkin dip that is basically just pumpkin and cool whip that you put on vanilla wafers. I'm hoping that will be enough, but one more wouldn't be bad.

At DH's family gatherings, there needs to be at least 2/3 dessert per person, so you're almost there
Sounds like a lovely assortment - I'd just stock up on some plastic food storage containers so people can take some treats home with them (so you're not *stuck* with them - oh, I'd eat all of them if left in my fridge!)
there are 10 of us, and we're having pumpkin pie (2), pecan pie, chocolate cherry cheesecake, peanut butter/hershey's kiss cookies, and muffins. But I think the muffins and cookies are more for after dinner card-playing snacks than dessert served @ the table.
It would be too much for our family because we gorge ourselves on the food and barely touch the desserts. Then for some reason we're the suckers that end up bringing ALL remaining desserts home and end up just throwing them away.
I think maybe 2 pies, or 1 pie with ice cream and/or cookies (some sort of small variety) would be PLENTY for 8 of us.

no such thing as too many!
