Color crib?

We are only buying a crib since we have dressers and other pieces of useful furniture.  All the pieces are some version of oak. I've always wanted an espresso crib, I think it looks more elegant and we are buying a convertible one so that it can be used in the future (after all babies are done), and I would much rather that be espresso as well.  I really don't have any issues with mixing wood (though I know some people do). I don't want to buy an oak crib since I hate that light oak color. So, do you think I can work out and blend and espresso crib with other colors of wood? Would white be easier to blend? Any thoughts would be helpful!

Re: Color crib?

  • IMO, I think espresso will look better than white.  Good luck. :)

  • I would see if you can stain your light oak furniture to the same or similar dark espresso color you like.  I would imagine you could give it a light sanding and then stain it the matching color.  Good luck!
