Make my own bedding set. Have any of you done this or know anyone who has? Of course this would be a project for step mother and me, but with me being still early in the game I think now would be the best time to decide.  I'm thinking of making everything from the bedding, pillows, curtains, hamper and some wall accessories.

I have a friend who designed and made everything for her DD.

The bedding ended up being HOT pink and Zebra. It turned out very cute. I wish I had photos to share with you.

She said in the long run it ended up being about $200 to do everything for bedding, curtains, and diaper hamper.

I'm thinking of doing the skirt and some accessories, but the bumper intimidates me for some reason!  Much luck if you decide to go this route

I'm making the bedding for our baby.  So far, the fabric for the bedding has only cost me $50, but I haven't bought batting for the bumper/quilt.  But all-in-all it will end up being well under $100.  Plus it's completely unique and special for your baby!  I say go for it!
