Brooks or Madden?

I feel like each week I have my names narrowed down only to add another name to our list. ?So this week we like Brooks or Madden for our baby boy #2. ?MN options we have thrown around are Campbell, Alexander, Scott or Reilly, but we haven't really paired any MN with either first name option. ?We are going for something slightly uncommon, but not crazy. ?

So what do you think of Brooks and Madden--please keep in mind that we actually DO like these names, unlike our parents! ?

Definitely prefer Brooks (Madden makes me think John Madden). It sounds nice with several of your mn options too. My favorites are:

Brooks Campbell

Brooks Alexander

Brooks Reilly

If you go with Madden, I like Madden Alexander best.

I'm sorry I really don't like either.  I like Alexander and Scott, though.  As PP said, Madden reminds me of John Madden, and Brooks makes me think of Brooks Brothers.  I guess if I had to pick I would go with Brooks.

Love Scott for a first name and its not too popular.

Both other names remind me of popular girl's names: Brooke and Madelyn?

If I had to pick one I'd go with Brooks or even Brock, which is close

Madden makes me think of the emotion "mad"

I love Brooks and am trying to decide if we will use it as well...

?Madden makes me think of that football coach right off the bat- not that that is good or bad, it just does.

I'm not a fan of either, but I do like Scott.  I also like Alexander, but you could probably guess that one by looking at my DD's name.

Your mn's are better in my opinion. I'd go with Scott, Alexander or Reilly over either of those two.

I'd go with Brooks. Madden is just Madden Football for the playstation or whatever.
