Yellow paint?

Has anyone used yellow paint for the walls of the nursery (or really any other room in the house?) I am trying to find something that is definitely yellow (and doesn't just look like off-white) but isn't too bright. Any recs?

We are using a color called Mellow Yellow for below our chair railing.  It is a true yellow not a light yellow.  So far it looks great.  Good luck!

I would suggest going to Home Depot or Lowes and purchasing the little $2 samples of yellow paint that you like.  We went through 6 yellows before we decided.  HTH!

We used the yellow paint "joyous" from BEHR in our room.  We love the color and the name.    It turned out beautiful, and we'll probably keep the same color for all of our kids.  We've added blues and greens for our boy this time, though.  If you have facebook, you can see some pictures:

I too would definitely recommend going to ge samples of a few different yellows. Yellow is one of the hardest shades to pick. I like to take a few of the paint swatches, tape them together and hanging them on the wall to avoid having to by so many samples. After I narrow it down to two or three I go out and by samples. We ultimately decided on SW Banana Cream. I will say that I went through about 12-15 yellows before deciding.

We painted our "spare room" yellow when we first bought our house.  We both knew what we were going to use the room for eventually.  But I chose a bright, golden-yellow. 

Remember, once you paint the whole room, that light color of that swatch is going to look very different.  I usually recommend going one shade lighter than the swatch you pick out.  Buying sample cans is always a really great way to paint a significant sized area to really get an idea of the color in your own space.

we're doing our accent wall in yellow (color in siggy)...other 3 walls are dark gray.  we got it from sherwin williams but they matched a swatch i had that was valspar heraldic gold.  this may be brighter than you want though.  it was scary bright when it first went on, but warmed up significantly with the 2nd coat.  good luck.
