DD is now too heavy for the moby - and that really stinks! I love my beco, but there's times I just really prefer to wrap her. Guess it's time for a woven! So, I gues YAY!!! I get to do some shopping!
Guess I also should have asked if you want to buy new or used - and if you have a price range in mind ;-)
I have a list of most of the major brands in my siggy. The thinnest wraps are Vatanais. BB Slens, Ellevill Zaras, and some Didymos wraps are thin as well. I think the best approach is to poke around wrap stores or the FSOT on thebabywearer.com and look for colors you love.
Do you like bright solids, prints, stripes?
I wish I could get a job as a wrap personal shopper ;-)

You totally should, ncbelle. I would hire you in a second!
I stalk your woven wrap posts nowadays because I'm thinking of getting one for the summer down here. Yesterday it was 108 degrees and there was just no way in hell I could wrap her in the moby...we would have both died of heat stroke. And she's just a little bit too small to comfortably fit in the babyhawk.
What would you recommend as the coolest wrap? As in temperature-cool, although awesomeness-cool will also be taken into account

Ha! Thanks ;-)
In that kind of heat, I'd definitely want a Vatanai. They are great for newborns too because they are soft and floppy right away. Some people don't find them as supportive as some other brands for bigger babies but I still like mine with kiddo (who's about 20 pounds) in multi-layer carries. When your LO is bigger, you might want to learn some single layer carries like the ruck - for that, I don't think thickness matters as much. But for any carry with layers, I think Vats are definitely the coolest.
There are striped Vats (there's a pink, blue, and orange-ish) and jaquard Vats (one with little bird looking things and one with whales - several colors of each). I think the whales are the most supportive, the stripes are the coolest (but only by a bit), and the bird ones are the softest - really you can't go wrong with any of them though.

ncbelle you really SHOULD have your own shop - you could open such a cool baby boutique in your town and on-line - you are so knowledgeable about all of this stuff.
Wheee!

Where is the best place online to get a Vatanai?
I don't know if you'd rather buy from a US vendor or not since you are in Australia but...

I don't know how knowledgeable I am - I just spend way too much time "researching" it ;-)
I've totally thought about it - but there are some great onine shops already. Maybe one day...
Re: I think our Moby days are over! BOOOO!
Definitely time for a woven ;-)

pieceofcloth.com is the only US vendor currently stocking them.
It might be just as cheap for you to order directly from Vatanai - https://www.vatanai.cz/webengland/default.htm.
Or you could try to find a used on on FSOT at thebabywearer.com.
