Nordic Boy Name

We really love this name but want some opinions on it.  What do you think about the name Hans Thomas for our boy?  We want to go with a nordic name and this name is all over Europe....It can be found in Norway, Germany, but we hear it is common in Holland because it is short for Johannes which is a form of the word John.  Hans is pronounced (Honz).  I knew a guy in college with this name and everyone loved it.  By the time you are older, your name is pretty much defined by how your personality is, etc, and he was confident with it!  Ok...so opinions please!!!!
