  • I like all of them.  The "r" on the end makes it a little more masculine, which I personally don't mind for a girl.

  • I have a little boy in my class this year and his name is Skyler, so I think a boy when I see that.

    Schuyler, on the other hand, is.

    Plus, there are many beautiful actual Dutch names if that's what you're looking for - e.g.: Anneke, Grietje, Mieke, Katelijn, Antje; Jeroen, Andries, Pieter.

    I do too.

     

    Look at how people "Americanize" Irish names... or any names for pronunciation. If she said she was spelling it the "traditional" way, she would have been flamed. 

  • If you are looking to use a Dutch name, I would 100% use the Dutch spelling

    It's #1 on my list, but I hate the Americanized phonetic spelling of the name
