The trim, door, and closet door in our nursery are white and our furniture is espresso. Would you get white shelves or espresso shelves? I was thinking white so that they just look like part of the room's architecture, allowing the items on them to stand out. Thoughts?

Re: What color shelves?
What color are the walls?
We have a pale sage wall, with white trim and doors...and espresso furniture. I am thinking about doing white shelves...but I have not decided for sure yet.
The walls are pale yellow.

to me, they would seem more of the bedroom design if they were in espresso and not white like the room's trim pieces. unless your trim is particularly eye catching, most of it is functional and not meant to stand out, so i'm not sure items on them will stand out the way you want. i think more attention would be drawn to items if they were on shelves that coordinated w/the rest of the furniture/design.
