Convertible Crib Vs. Mini Crib Question

I am wanting a crib that converts to a twin size bed instead of a full size bed. Everthing I have seen converts from a crib to toddler to day bed (not for boys IMO and then to a full. Is my only choice a mini crib or do you ladies know of any others?

My reasoning behind this is...

1. I really don't want to take up LO's play space with a full size bed when they are a little older/ready for a bigger bed. I believe a twin is a decent size bed until 8,9,10 years old. My DH had a twin until he was in Jr. High!

2. most of the 3 in 1 and 4 in 1's that convert don't convert into full size beds that I really like.

Re: Convertible Crib Vs. Mini Crib Question

  • The mini cribs convert to twins but I think they say are only for infants up to 6 mo. Maybe you would be better off buying a standard crib instead of a convertible.
