Baby Names

Which combo? and WDYT?

We narrowed our daughter's name choices down to two:
1) Eva
2) Gabriela

Middle name options:
Sophia, Lucia, Natalia

Which combo do you like the best?

And do you think they sound like "Mexican soap opera star" names? This is the feedback we're getting from our friends/family - not that we really care.  What do you think?

Re: Which combo? and WDYT?

  • I think Eva Natalia sounds cool. The other two are too rhymey with Eva to me.

    Gabriela is NMS.

  • I can see where Mexican Soap star is coming from.

Of all of those I really ony like Lucia.

  • My favorite is Eva Gabriela. :)

Next I like Gabriela Lucia, Eva Sophia, and Eva Natalia.

    Blank!
  • i think eva is the best option for the first name, but i feel as though any of those MN's would me it too over-the-top, sorry.

  • I think most of those names are really pretty, but I don't care for the -a ending on both the first and middle name.

  • Of your choices, I really like Eva Natalia.

I agree with a pp that any other mn seems to 'rhyme' with Eva. Not a fan of Gabriela.

  • I like Eva Lucia.
  • Natalia Gabrielle is really nice. Ending both names with the "a" sounds too sing-songy for me
  • LOVE Gabriella...if my twins were 2 girls Garbriella would have been the 2nd girl. LOVE IT! HATE Gabby!

I also love every other name on your list! We have the exact same taste!

Eva would be my least favorite.

    Gabriella Lucia

    Gabriella Sophia

  • Gabriela Lucia and no they do not sound like Mexican Soap Opera names.
  • I am so over Eva/Ava. Sophia is too popular for me. Plus, in the last 18 months, we've gained two nieces named Lucy. (One is Lucia, One is Lucille.) I know at least 3 other babies (under a year) named Lucy. So while it's pretty, I think it's getting very popular. Natalia is nms.

I love Gabriela. (I'm assuming due to the 1 L, you are using the Spanish pronunciation.) We have a niece Gabriela, who goes by Gabi. (She definitely uses the Spanish pronunciation, as she is Peruvian.)

I prefer the Spanish Gah-bree-a (long a)-la to the English Gab-bree-L-uh.

That being said, these are pretty names. Some of them are just nms or too popular for me.

    Eva Sophia
    Eva Lucia
    Gabriela Natalia

I think that Gabriela sounds a bit soap starry but I like Eva

  • Eva Lucia- I think it is a very pretty, romantic name.
  • I much prefer Gabriela to Eva. Eva is NMS.
