Where do Ergo ties go?

DH & I just got back from trying on the Ergo at buy buy baby and we love it. I ended up having much more length on the "ties" after I pulled everything snug. Where do they get tucked in? I don't see the ties hanging from other people. Thanks!

It seems like you could roll the ends up and use that little attached piece of elastic to contain the rolls if you were so inclined, but I'm pretty lazy- so mine just hang .

(In a more AP town, that would probably mark me as some sort of noob...but I'm wearing the only Ergo I've seen IRL in the last four months.)
