what did your body do before first af ?

my d&3 was about 4 weeks ago on 10/22 and my post procedure bleeding stopped about a week ago.  since then i've have some brown splotchy spotting, not very much (sorry, tmi) and i just started having some discomforting cramping.  is this normal?  i called my doc and she said to wait, and if cramping continues with no bleeding, then to call back.  i hope i hope i hope i get my af soon, even though i know it's still too early, but the cramping makes me nervous.  has anybody else had continued spotting after their post procedure bleeding with cramps for a while before getting their af?  thanks in advance, ladies.

I'm so sorry for your loss.....in my experience I did not have any cramping after my D&E, and I only had bleeding for two weeks after, but I didn't get my first period until 8 weeks post procedure.  I know that many women on here have gotten AF sooner than 8 weeks but I'm really not sure about what the cramping could be.  Hope AF comes for you soon, though...

I still have not gotten mine. I stoppped bleeding 3 weeks post d&e. My progestron is just not starting to falls, so hopefully soon I will get it.

The days leading up to my first af I was a raving *** and super emotional. I am surprised my dh even talks to me anymore since I was such a *** to him. I never ever get pms usually, but I did this cycle. And I cramped more than usual, but the bleeding was a same regular period like before and lasted the same amount of time.

I too bled after my first D&C on 10/9/09.  It started out with brown spotting the first week and then I got excited because I was seeing more of what appeared to be AF.  The doctor stated there was no chance of AF this soon after a D&C.  Ultrasound revealed after 3 weeks of bleeding and spotting I was in need of another D&C.  I had my 2nd D&C on 11/3/09.  The bleeding stopped immediately afterwards.  Now I am waiting and praying as you for AF to arrive sooner than later. 

I am sorry for your loss.  Please be sure to contact your doctor if the bleeding continues.  I dreaded the 2nd D&C but the cramping and all went away afterwards and made a big difference.

 

Annoyed Bridesmaid (and Former Bride)

I'll be 5 weeks post D&E tomorrow.  I had spotting for about a week and half after the procedure and pretty much nothing after that.  Although, last week I had a few days of strange tenderness and cramping.  I don't usually have PMS symptoms.  Still no AF!
