Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Was your late crawler an early walker?

I have heard this saying online a few times in the last week or so, and I'm wondering if it rang true for any of you ladies.

DD didn't start crawling until about 3 weeks ago, started pulling up a week later, and cruises the tiniest bit start in the last few days.

  • DS started crawling right before 11 months and started walking right before 14 months.

  • I don't know if it is considered late but DD crawled at 9 months, walked at 12.5.
  • Colin is doing the same exact thing.  The same day he figured out how to pull up, he started cruising a bit from couch to play table to coffee table.  But he still won't take steps if I'm holding his hands and walking behind him.
  • DD crawled at 12 months, walked a few weeks later!

  • Madi crawled at 10.5 months and if you want to be technical just started walking truley last night. But if you count cuising/hand holding and the rest of that then she has been doing that since about 12 months.

  • No--late crawler at 10 months and late walker at 16 months...I've heard it's more accurate to estimate walking on own 3 months after they start to cruise...it was about that for us.
  • DD only crawled for about three weeks. lol  She started crawling at 10 1/2 months and took her first steps shortly after 11 months.

  • Jack was an early crawler (6-7ish months) but is nowhere near walking at 13 months.

He is too attached to cruising furniture, apparently.

  • Nope, DS was a late crawler and late walker.

He crawled around 11 months and walked at 14 months.

  • Yes, my DD didn't crawl until 10 months and then was walking a month later.  Everyone was amazed how steady she was on her feet at her 1st b-day party:)  There was def a time where we thought she might skip over crawling altogether!
  • I'm late to respond, but my dd crawled at 9 months and walked at 11.5.  Kind of late crawler and kind of early walker.
  • yes. iz didnt crawl until almost 9m...i think. but she was walking by her 1st b-day. she never did the butt scooch thing either. just a lot of army crawling and then one day decided she wanted to crawl on all fours.

  • Nope.  DS started crawling around 11 months, cruising around 13 months, and wasn't officially walking until at least 18 months.

DS did the same thing.  He was pulling up and all that before he even started crawling too.  We were convinced he would just go straight to walking, but he crawled for a little bit.
