Babies: 9 - 12 Months

How many bottles per day for 11 month old?

DD currently takes 3 6 oz bottles of formula a day with 3 solids meals.  I am thinking about dropping one bottle so she just takes a bottle in the morning and at night.  Is it too soon for this to happen? How many bottles per day do you give your 10/11 month old?

  • He gets 4 6 oz bottles.  At our last appt, our pedi said he should still be getting 20 oz of formula along w his solids.  He's also a big boy, though, too, so he can handle all this!

  • 3 or 4 6-7 oz bottles a day along with his solids.
  • I was told to stick with 20-24oz per day.

She gets 2 10oz (mid morning and mid afternoon) and 1-4oz before bed. She gets water or soy milk with meals.

  • She usually takes 3 8oz. bottles but I think I may cut it down to 3 6oz. soon because she is very frequently refusing to polish off the last couple ounces in each bottle.

  • DD takes four 6 oz. bottles/day- we'll probably stick with that until her one year appointment when I can talk to the pedi about weaning from the bottle/switching to milk.
