My DS is 2 1/2 months, and about 3 weeks adjusted. Lately he's had a period of time during the day when he's very alert and he kicks his legs a lot. When this happens, he breaths shallow almost like he's panting. When he's resting, he doesn't do this. It's only when he's excited or upset. Is this normal or does this indicate a problem? I didn't think much about it because it was only during these two active periods. Can you please give me your input? Thanks. I'll be asking the ped too.
Re: Is it normal for baby to pant when excited/angry?
I'm not really sure without hearing it, but DS does some odd things when he's excited. Sometimes he even holds his breath and lets it out slowly because I think he likes that sound. :-)
