I think it's hitting me....

That I'm going to be a mommy in a little over a week!  HOLY GEEZ!!!!  It is just so crazy to me! 

Our BM is sitting at 2 cm dilated...so I am just REALLY REALLY HOPING that she doesn't go early!!! Changing our flight out during the week of thanksgiving could be a definite challenge! 

EEK!! It's getting so close!! You would think that I would have his suitcase packed...however I'm in belief that if I pack now-he will come early-but if I don't-than he won't!! Not sure if that is smart rationalizing-but in my mind-it makes perfect sense! :)

    The baby is going to be here before you know it!

    I remember about the two weeks before Shelby was born I kept telling DH that we needed to pack and he kept saying we have time. Then on Mar 4th I got the call that she was in labor but the docs weren't sure if it was false labor. That was at 1 pm. I called my husband and he said not to start packing because she wasn't due until the 11th. But I went home and packed anyway...or packed as much as I can. My husband still wouldn't believe the baby was coming! We finally left at 9 PM and got to IA at 5 AM and Shelby was born at 10:36 AM....6 days early!

     

    Is this her first baby? Is she young? If yes....PACK!

    Oh, my!  That's so exciting!  I can't even imagine what you must be feeling right now.  I wish you all the best in the coming days, and hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving miracle!

    Nope not her first baby and she's 30.  This isn't her first-and with her previous pregnancies-she's never delivered more than 2 days early...so She's just NOT GOING TO GO EARLY this time either :)

    Wow, I am so excited for you!!

    I also read your post about being in L&D with the BM.  I can't wait to hear how everything goes. When we had lunch with our BM last weekend she asked me to be in the room with her too.  I want to hear how everything goes with your experience.

    After 7 years of marriage and 5 unsuccessful IVFs, we have been granted the gift of adopting a baby boy, born 4/21/11.

    I am so excited for you!!!
    Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever!
