I love how everyone who tells this story actually KNOWS a person with this name or knows a person who knows a person... UGH!!  I once even tried to tell someone it was an urban legend, and they said, "No, my friend actually knows the girl..." Ok then.

As far as the way it's pronounced I don't know, like Le or La-dash-a..but there are people that actually exist that have the name Le-a and La-a according to a people search site that we use at the Judge's office I work for.

I personally love when people tell me I've never met someone with an "urban legend name". It pisses me off. I wouldn't say I've met them if I hadn't. I find these names as stupid as the next person, but that doesn't change the fact that they are real people. The name being on urban legend doesn't mean some idiot isn't dumb enough to name their child one of these names.
