First day back to work

Well, today is my first day back to my first grade classroom.  I'm not overly sad, just a little bit.  DH will be home with Caleb today, then my mom will come to the house every day starting tomorrow.  I feel like it's the first day of school, though, because since I had Caleb in early September, I haven't had a chance to really meet my students and their parents.  Hopefully, it will be uneventful, and I'll be home with Caleb again before I know it.  I keep reminding myself that I am fortunate to have a job (layoffs have hit my school district hard this year), and I won't have to leave Caleb with strangers.  My mom is so excited to begin babysitting, it's cute to see!  She even said if I plan a menu and get the groceries, she'll have dinner started by the time I get home and she will fold any laundry that I bring up from the dryer!  I guess when you become a mommy, it really is for life- no matter how old your "baby" gets!  OK, signing off before I really start to cry.  I'll update when I get home!
