Landry is on our list of names, but I've recently heard it can also be used for a girl. I cannot imagine this as a girl's name, this kind of shocked me! What do you think? We are pretty intent on choosing a masculine name.
Oh, and when I search for it at baby name wizard, it comes up as a girl name.

Re: Landry for a boy
Landry def sound masculine to me. Working in Urgent Care...I remember there being at least one Landry and the patient was a boy.
I seriously thought that's what it said when I first saw it....BUT I'm really tired! I think its OK... nevery heard it before.
This exactly. It doesn't sound like a name to me.
Yup. There are people with the last name of Landry everywhere down here. I think of it as a surname, not a first name. I'm not a big fan of the surnames-as-first-names trend, but if it were used as a first name, I think it sounds more like a boy's name. There's a poster on the adoption board who is using it as a middle name for her son.
ditto
this for me too...
I can't imagine this name for a girl. I"ve never heard it for either but I think it is fine for a boy. However, the first think I thought when I saw this name is Ali Landry (TV Actress).
