for those putting changing pad on a dresser

what are you using to help keep in place? We registered today and I couldn't find anything with a nonslip surface.

Sorry if this is a dumb question.  TIA!

Re: for those putting changing pad on a dresser

  • The pads come with an anchor to nail into the back of the dresser.  We're also putting some of that rubber non-skid carpet padding underneath the changer to help keep it from slipping.

  • The one I had with ds had a non-slip bottom and that was all I used but,  I NEVER left him alone in it and when he got big enough to start fighting me on diaper changes I just stopped using it and changed him on a pad on the floor.

This.  I could have nailed into the wall but didn't need to.

  • Our changing pad came with a nonslip surface- bought it from Wal-mart.

    Ditto this exactly!?

  • DD's pad had straps and a grippy back to it, but we never anchored the pad b/c we never left her alone on it. Since she was able to wiggle and roll, she's only been changed on the floor, a bed, or an ottoman, with hands on 100% of the time.
  • Screwed it to the back of the dresser like pps- I specifically registered for one at BRU that had 2 of the anchor strips vs just 1 b/c I thought it would be more stable. I don't leave them alone on it either but I like feeling like it won't move around while I'm changing them regardless.
