Phasing out formula?

so we are planning on phasing out formula @ 1 year mark since LO is getting plenty of nutrients from solid food and is reacting well to whole milk.  We always staggered his bottle with his meal...like gave about an hour in between.  Does anyone suggest a schedule for the big switch?  We normally give him dinner at 530 and his last bottle was at 7 and his bedtime is at 8.

are you also switching to a sippy?  I'd just do whole milk in the sippy at the same times you were doing his bottle.

 

FWIW, we kept the bedtime bottle (which in our house was *right* before bed) for another 5w after his first birthday.  One night, he was too tired to take much of it, and we haven't offered it since. No issues. I was shocked.

we started sippy at 6 months to get him to master it by a year...which he does...i can't see the bottle 'going away' as an issue, just trying to figure out where to stick milk in...subbing the milk for the formula can work and ill just gradually move the time closer together...
