please show me you schedule for feeding your 5 month old solids.. and the amount they are getting. I am confused if im doing too much or too little. thanks.
I'm still taking it slow. She is only fed once a day in the evenings. Right now it is just maybe an ounce or 2 at the most. I am thinking of upping now.
Dx PCOS 2004...Married Oct. 2008... Complete surprise BFP on BCP Oct 2008..Amazing, miracle born 6/8/09...TTC #2 since 6/10
8am - 2.5 oz fruit, 1 tbs oatmeal, and bottle 11:30am - 1.5 oz veggies and bottle (just started veggies at lunch because he wasn't filling up on just a bottle) 3pm - bottle 6pm - 2.5 oz veggies and bottle 8pm - bottle then bed
He's a big eater and his bottles are anywhere between 6-8oz.
DD gets 5 bottles a day. As for solids, she gets solids at lunchtime and dinnertime. At lunch time, she gets a tablespoon of oatmeal mixed with about 1/2 oz of BM and/or formula. At dinner, she gets rice cereal (same amount as the oatmeal) and a jar of a fruit or veggie. The lunch time solid was just added today! This seems to be the right amount for her for now.
Right now we are just doing 1 meal a day at 5pm. I just feed her as much as she'll eat, sometimes it's a few bites and sometimes it's a whole jar (depends on the food and when her last bottle was before then). After 6 months we'll probably introduce another meal, but right now 1 is enough as she is still drinking about 30-32oz. of formula/day
730-745am - 1 tbsp oatmeal with 3 baby spoon fulls of fruit
Then during the week he goes to daycare and gets 7oz bottles at 10, 1, and 4. On the weekends he either nurses or gets bottles around those times.
5-530pm - 1 tbsp oatmeal and 1-2 tbsp of a veggie
730-8pm - 7oz bottle
In the AMs I mixed the fruit with the oatmeal but in the PMs DS seems to like his veggies without the oatmeal. So I'm thinking that I'm not going to do oatmeal anymore in the evenings and just feed a little more veggies.

DD still take the same amount of bottles we just add a Tbsp of veggies at dinner.
