I am trying to figure out baby names and for a boy, my husband likes Steven, which i like but our last name starts with the letters 'St'. Do you think it would sound wierd?

As long as your last name isn't Stevenson, then it's fine

As long as his name wouldn't be steven stevens I don't see anything wrong with it.

Our last name is Steen so Steven Steen sounds weird. It really depends on your last name.

It's fine. I love a first name that ends in "lan" and my last name ends on "son" and I got a lot of feedback on this board that they sounded fine together.

I think it would be fine.  We are also considering the name Stephen if we have a second boy.

And I agree, if your last name was Stevenson I'd stay away.

Personally, I wouldn't do it, it just sounds too matchy/goofy. But then, I'm easily bothered by little things like this... I didn't even like having the same first and last initial growing up (happily DH's name is at the other end of the alphabet, so I got a reprieve).
