underwear good for after c section

can you recommend what underwear you bought or have for after your c section?

target, motherhood?

are regular granny panies ok as long as they are high enough?

Re: underwear good for after c section

  • I've heard that bikinis are a no-no.  I'm hoping the mesh panties are a good rise and that they last long enough for my soreness to be gone.
  • My maternity panties from matherhood were the most comfortable. I had bought some regular grannies, but they werent' the same.

  • Bring home as many pairs of the mesh hospital underwear as you can get your hands on.  Besides that, I found regular old Hanes or Fruit of the Loom high-rise panties to be good.  You just don't want anything that hits you low.  The closer to your belly button, the better.
  • take as many of the mesh panties you can from the hospital (each day steal a few into your bag and then ask for more).

i got some HUGE granny panties at Target - hanes brand, sold in a bag - they worked great... all cotton so they breathe - and very high waist so there was never any rubbing on the incision.  They are so sexy.  I need to get rid of them now - but i hate to throw things away like that- and can't donate them... so gross. lol

DH and I really like Goodwill.  We were at one of their stores a while back (heck maybe a year+) and we saw a thong on the rack of stuff that had been tried on that someone decided not to get.  That's just SOOOOO gross IMO.
