I already have a stock of prometrium on hand. and an rx for endometrin has been called in for my new ivf cycle. I was wondering if they are the same. I have caleld and left my nurse a msg.
Yes... Prometrium I think you take twice per day, and endometrin three times per day (I guess depending on the dosage you are prescribed). When my nurse & I were talking about what I was going to use for support this last time, she suggested prometrium but I told her I already had two extra boxes of endometrin and would prefer to use it, and she told me it was fine and just to adjust the doseage.
Yes, it is just made by different companies. My insurance covers one, but not the other. So my RE switch the script to get the covered one and did not bat an eye.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.
