I know this has been asked, but I can't find the post since the search function blows. So, sorry in advance...
Our girls will be in a daycare center starting around 4 months old. The center requires us to bring pre-filled bottles. They will not mix formula there.
How many bottles will I need in my stash (assuming I end up EFF)? I am assuming I'll need even more if I don't want to be strapped to washing them every single night, right? How many did you get by with (for twins) and how many would you liked to have had in a perfect world?
Thanks, and sorry if this question makes me seem really dumb. ![]()
Re: bottle question
Your questions are not dumb.
I have about 15 bottles and it works out great I don't have to wash them all the time and I have enough to always have some in the dishwasher and some ready to use.
Perfect, thank you! For some reason I had 18-24 in my head.
After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

Ditto. You'll want 18 in the begging (we use 16/day now), then by the time they're in daycare you'll be using less bottles/day probably - but will have to wash them less. See my reply in your other post.

I am going to try to EBF, but I have to admit that I am really worried it isn't going to work out.

Don't be worried and don't stress over it. I think that makes it even harder. It will be hard, but you can do it. Set mini goals for yourself. I started w/ 2 weeks, then 6 weeks, then 3 months - which we'll have made on Friday!!! Next goal is 6 months. I did this w/ my daugther and it was much easier than saying I'm going to breastfeed for a year. I'll tell you what, when they are 2 weeks old and up 3 times in the middle of the night a year seems FOREVER away. Another thing I've done this time is not stressed about not pumping quite enough. If I have to add a little formula to their bottles they get at DCP so be it. Its not the end of the world and I nurse them all the rest of the time.
