Good-Bye Bellybutton Ring

Tonight I finally took out my bellybutton piercing...I'm not all that sad because I don't show off my belly that often but I'm a little sad because I have had it for 7 years and I will never put it back in or get it redone.  I was wondering from those of you who had/have them when you plan to take them out or if you already did?  And do you ever plan to put it back in?

I took mine out for our 12-week US and left it out.  I may put it back in, depending on the shape my stomach is in after the delivery.  It will likely get stretched out beyond all recognition.

mines out....plan to get it redone post-baby and after i lose a lil weight!

I took mine out at about 7 weeks... right after I found out I was pregnant. I had no idea how quickly I'd grow or whatnot, so I didn't want to have any problems. I'm kinda bummed, as I'd had it since I was 18, but oh well... I have no intentions to put it back in or get it redone!

I do not wear my piercing... but I do put it in every few days bec/ I don't want the hole to close up.. it was getting really painful to wear though.  I googled pregnancy and belly button piercings and it seems to me that regardless of whether or not you leave it in/take it out... your belly button will like messed up... I figure the piercing will at least cover up the hole.  GL!

I'm at 14 weeks and so far have my belly ring in... I was thinkin of gettin one of those pregnant belly rings but not sure yet...so far it's not a problem, my belly hasn't grown much, but I really don't want to say goodbye to my hole... DH isn't too thrilled about the idea of one of those pregnant belly rings, but I like my piercing...

i plan on keeping mine in till i deliver than put one right back in.

Mine is still in. The hole actually moved up (It was pierced a little more out of the hole because I was 10 pounds underweight) so I am able to keep it in with the original barbell the whole pregnancy. Doc said the hole will move back to original spot as long as I lose all my baby weight so I plan on having mine for a long time. I've had it for going on 8 years.

I've had mine pierced for over 11 years and I'm not happy about taking it out.  I was just talking to DH about it last night b/c I think its time.  It's been kind of painful lately, feeling like its gonna just rip through my skin.  But I'm sad about it, I'm going to miss seeing it there everyday.  I don't ever show off my stomach, I just like having it there, I like seeing the pretty jewelry when I get naked in front of the mirror everyday.  I will do what another poster mentioned, put it back every other day or so b/c I don't want the hole to close up.

I still have mine in and plan to keep it there as long as possible. I bought a pregnancy belly ring online that I will put in once my current one becomes too tight.

I took mine out around 13 weeks I think.  I was very emotional about it at the time, because I don't plan on putting it back in.  But I'm over it now and watching my belly stretch with the weird marks left behind :-)

There are plenty of places that sell pregnancy navel rings so you don't have to take them out unless you really want to. They are longer and flexible so they accommodate your growing belly.
