I think the best way might be to pop out the back of the shadowbox and cut a piece of fabric slightly larger than the backing. Stitch the jersey in place (same color thread) along the seams so it is flat and secure then, wrap the edges of the fabric around the backing and replace in the frame.

I am doing this too and was thinking pins but I like Jen&Louie's suggestion! I think I will try pins on the inside of the jersey so you can't see them first and if its not staying up very well still I will stitch it.
I don't know if it is regional but PatCatan's (a craft store) actually had a jersey shadow box with a hook and hanger inside but it was bigger then I would like to do.

Thanks Ladies~! Never heard of the store, but wished I had one. I got the jersey shadow boxes from Hobby Lobby ...I think I am going to try the pins and see how they work.
