    Benadryl and Sudafed are fine, but there is a chance that they could decrease your supply.

    If you're congested, Afrin works wonders!  Since it's just a local nasal spray, it doesn't have the same effect on supply.

    You're only supposed to use it for three days (to prevent dependence on it), BUT I found I could cut the dose in half or more (TMI- one squirt in a single nostril once a day in the evening was enough to make things bearable for the most part!), and alternating sides, could use it for a week or so w/o building up a dependence on it.  **Bubbly, close your eyes - you didn't read that! :)  **

    Afrin, a few Advil, and strangely enough gargling with warm salt water (Dr. Oz rec) and I always feel a bit better.  Shower soothers are also nice to help with breathing issues, at least temporarily.

    robitussin dm

    few drops of eucalyptus oil in the shower

    saline nasal drops

    advil for headaches
