So (if its a boy), we are thinking of naming the baby after DH. He is named after his grandfather and the name goes several generations back. DH has been second guessing this b/c he thinks it may be strange to have two people named the same thing in one house. I have also heard when the baby grows up it can cause alot of confusion for people that don't know there are 2 of this name. I really like his name regardless, but I just wanted some opinions. Anyone else have experience here or planning on having a namesake?
I know this is early to worry about this Because of this it will probably be a girl, ha. (which is fine)
TIA!!!
Re: Namesakes?
If we have a girl they will have the middle name Ann. It is my middle name, my mom's, my grandma's, and my great-grandma's.
If we have a boy their middle name will be Joseph. It is DH's middle name and a family name on his side as well. If we do happen to have another boy along the way their middle name will be William after my dad.
I know this isnt exactly the same but I plan to name our boy John Aaron. My grandfather, father, and brother are all named John. My dad goes by Thurman (middle name), my grandfather (deceased) went by Jake (nickname for John), and my brother goes by his middle name Chance.
Our baby will go by Jake in honor of my grandfather.
