I am so excited that little Tyler's room is almost complete! All I have to do is clear off the guest bed and put on the new linens to match his! I know some may think I am crazy or it was too early, but what a piece of mind. Now I can move on to the rest of the house for the next couple of months. I have a lot of work to do. I would love for the apartment to be settled and situated to the point that all I have to do is maintain. No more organizing, sorting, getting rid of stuff, moving stuff to storage!!! Alleluia I hope I get there.
How are your nurseries coming along? Anyone in my apartment/house disaster predicament? If so how do you keep from getting stressed?
Re: One more thing and the nursery is finished!/Then the rest of the house...
All I can say is wow! You are only 4 weeks ahead of me and have soooo much more done than me. We haven't done anything for the baby not even a name.
Then this is our 3rd. I don't have a lot of time. To get our nursery ready I still have to clean out our largest non master bedroom (our current playroom/extra storage closet) and repaint it. Move DD#1 into current playroom. Re-paint DD#1s room for DD#2. Buy her new big girl furniture and move her in to DD#1s current room. Repaint and decorate nursery for baby boy #3. All of it is so over whelming that I don't even want to start.
You guys are so lucky.
My DH doesn't plan to get the nursery set up (crib, dresser, any decor) until I reach 30 weeks.
TTC #1 since 2007. Dx: Unexplained infertility. 4 IUIs in 2008 = BFN. IVF #1 07/09. DD #1 born April 2010 (40w5d).
TTC #2 since 2011. Dx: Endometriosis and hypothyroidism. 2 FETs in 2012, BFP 6/12 but m/c @ 7 weeks. IVF #2 06/13. DD #2 born March 2014 (40w1d).
I wish we were that far along. I'm really anxious to get stuff done, but DH and I are having a tough time agreeing on things. We have different tastes in furniture, and I feel like we're at a bit of an impasse.
We have to move my office upstairs and move the current guest room into my office. I don't think we're going to paint, although I haven't 100% decided. I think we're going to get some of our furniture as Christmas gifts, so I'm really hoping to have the nursery completely set up by mid-January. I just have to remember to be patient!
Congrats on being done! Can you post a photo???
