Fashion Question

Ok, if you were going to wear this coat [probably w/ jeans, b/c let's be real, that's what I mostly wear], what colors would you put with it for shoes and what colors would you wear underneath/with it?

I am really drawn to this color, but am having a hard time figuring out what I would wear with it, esp w/ regards to shoes since it's kind of brownish... I don't think I'd want to wear brown with it, but I also wouldn't want to wear my cognac colored boots either.  It's taunting me with it's cuteness though.

eta: would a muted gold metallic shoe look stupid?  I feel like that would be cute...depending on where you plan to wear it.

I am not very good at this sort of thing, but I'll humor you...

I think a plum, dark teal, or dark red-ish color would look nice, so I'd find a sweater in one of those colors to go under and then shoes to match that, and then do dark jeans.

IDK, my first thought is a bright-ish or gem-tone blue, but then I don't know if I want to wear that with jeans.  

I suck at fashion.  I also don't think I could pull off that coat b/c of the junk in mah trunk.

What about a deep plum suede boot?  Or a copper metalic flat?

If I did a more neutral shoe, I'd pair it with a teal or purple underneath and some gold earrings with gemstone accents.

I'm having a hard time with double-breasted with peplum.  OMG. 

But it's cute...gah.  What about the color of Pin's Emelia's new winter coat, the goldy yellow?  Or a deep orange-red.

I think a jewel toned deepish green or deep teal would look nice under that.

I would go neutral underneath (cream or white depending on your skin coloring) and vibrant on the shoes. Like a rich purple!

I was just curious because it's totally confusing me.  I love the color, and I was thinking of putting purple or dark teal or maybe ivory or navy underneath it, but I just can't, for the life of me, figure out what shoes I would wear with that.

MAYBE, I need those plum boots I want and I could wear it with an ivory top...hmmm.

I think that the brighter shoes are a good idea - I can go more neutral with a shirt.  Maybe something like this:

Or a sweater like this:

And pin - it's just because we have such good taste that we came up with similar shoe ideas.

Love both of the top options.  I think I'd probably do the ruffled one because it would fit under the jacket better.  So cute!
