pull up diapers?

I bought two bags of Nature Babycare size 4 diapers at Target and opened them to find they are pull-up pants style. I'm thinking, ok, we'll give this a try but if he poops in them, it's not going to be pretty.

Why do they make these - for potty training? Anyone actually use them??

Re: pull up diapers?

  • We use them. Mainly b/c DS outgrew regular diapers (size 7 is very hard to find). They are for potty training but even when DS wasn't PT we still used them. Some brands have a velco type attachment down the sides and other brands rip pretty easy down the sides if there's a messy diaper.

  • Take the unopened one back and hang on to the other for when you do PT.
  • Yes - for PTing.  Just an FYI, they don't wick away the moisture from the skin like regular diapers, so your LO may feel uncomfortable faster in pull-ups.  Its part of the learning to know what peeing feels like.

And like the pp said, there may be velcro on the sides for poopy diaper removal.

  • I am very excited to hear this! I used to buy smaller size pull-up style diapers when DS was little. It wasn't intended to be used for PTing, just for on the go changes. I loved them and haven't seen them anywhere this time around. About how much did you pay for these? How many in the packs?

They were maybe $10 for a pack of 22.

So far, they are holding the pee really well! I usually get this brand, but the regular diaper style, and I love them.
