2nd Trimester

Shaving

So I usually shave my lady parts and it's getting harder and harder. Dh said he would help or he would pay for waxing. Him doing it-no way, waxing - I have done it once not again! lol

So I was thinking of getting the Schick Quattro for Women Trimstyle

https://www.quattroforwomen.com/product_trimstyle.php

It has the razor at one end and the trimmer at the other and has adjustable lengths. Has anyone used it? I think I could bend enough to just trim it really low...

  • I should probably start shaving my legs again at some point before I can't anymore...

I usually am bare so mine don't get to long lol. How close is the lowest setting?

  • yes, i have one and i love it!! i use the lowest setting, it's pretty short, but not so short it's prickly if that makes sense...anyways..i highly reccomend it, it's very easy to use!
  • It get's about like a nose hair trimmer thing. You still have to shave to get the "smoothe" thing.  I used to go bare too (been kinda lazy lately). But there's always that 1 hair.

yah I was thinking if I trimmed instead of shaved if I missed a few spots it would be ok Embarrassed. Maybe I should just suck it up and let him help! lol

  • Honestly, I would consider getting a professional wax again. It lasts longer and there is no itching during regrowth. I'll never shave or trim again. And the benefit is you don't have to be able to see it - that's someone elses job!

We only have a stand up shower so I'm shaving my legs maybe once a week.  Ugh.  I hate it but it's really hard to have to bend ALL the way other to do that.  Maybe I should get a little footstool in foot in there so I can prop my leg up. lol

Yah it's funny I am covered in tattoos but was such a baby when getting my Brazilian but the bikini didn't bother me in the least! lol

  • Yeahhh, I'm not down with DH having a razor anywhere near vital parts of my body. I just get what I can get with a razor, and trim the rest pretty well. I honestly don't think DH cares that much.

Lol. Yah he could care less I am the one that's crazy about it!

  • I've been in this boat too.  It's getting REALLY hard to do!

I thought about a professional wax.  However, after reading up on them (both books and the web), it seems like a poor plan in pregnancy--many doctors forbid a Brazilian wax.  We get, ahem, a lot of extra bloodflow down there.  Which means a lot of extra swelling in a wax, or even bleeding--even if you've never had a problem before.  I called my wax girl (she's awesome--from Aveda), and she won't do a Brazilian for her clients if they're pregnant, regardless of how many they've had in the past.

So.  Just a thought.  Looks like a bikini wax is fine, but not "baring all."

Bummer.  I'd SO much rather someone else deal with this than me!

I feel the same way. At least keeping it well maintained makes me feel a little sexier.

I am the same way. A few tattoos I am ok with, like getting them. However, going to the dentist or giving blood and forget about it!

I was really worried about this and got my first pregnant wax a week ago. It actually didn't hurt any worse than usual! Phew.

  • ive had problems since like week 13 -_-

i just do the best i can although that razor does sound like a good idea

but im not toooo concerned about getting things down perfect cause its not like theres a whole lot of action goin on around there anyways XD

Well yay for you since you can but being 5 feet and my belly is now sticking out past my boobs no it hurts to try and bend to far over or get those hard to reach spots.

  • I have a lot of tats too, but when it comes to "down there", I'm a complete wuss. Like ... the only reason I'm getting the epi is because I don't want to feel the "rip" lol...If they gave me an epi to get a wax, I'd be down.
  • funny you posted this...after tonights attempt to keep things tamed in my lady parts I began to panic on how its just going to get harder...and it was no easy task tonight! I've never had a waxing before so it worries me a bit, as far as how much it will hurt, and hubby doesnt want to help :-( ?ugh
  • for real some of us dont hang out down there long enough to know where the grass starts and ends by memory.
  • I am insanely jealous as I can't even think about shaving even my underside of my belly to get my "happy trail". I kid you not, I had to have DH shave it this week before out OB appt.

My lady parts are.....hairy. I usually like to keep it pretty clean down there (either bare or barely anything) but it hasn't been groomed at all for a couple months. My legs are pretty bad, too.  Crying

  • I have been trimming myself but probably not much longer.  I can barely bend over.  With my other pregnancies I just let it grow, it becomes to difficult.  GL ladies!!!

  • Have you tried one of those suction mirrors in the shower? With DD I finally gave up for the most part. I don't even want to know how bad it got down there. I just remember when she was about 3 weeks old the "landscaping" took quite a while in the shower. :-(
