Identical?

Hi everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a place to get my boys tested to see if they are identical?.  I will ask the Dr on Tuesday during their appointment, but thought I would ask here first.

We were 99.99% sure they were fraternal, only because twins run in my family and there was always a pretty thick membrane from the beginning...and they each had their own placenta.  The peri always said they were fraternal...I knew even with that, there was a chance they could be identical, but I really thought that would be pretty much impossible!.

 Now the boys are 4 weeks old and they look SO MUCH ALIKE! (you can judge for yourself and see some new pics in my blog).

 Was anybody else surprised with identical twins when they thought they were fraternal? did you get them tested?

Congrats on your boys!  They do look very much alike, and very cute!!  I was surprised to find out mine were identical, because of all of the things you mentioned, too.  I used Affiliated Genetics, and they were great - I think it was $160 or so.  I waited until they were 4 months old to see how similar they looked at that point, but I wish I'd done it sooner.   Good luck!  I think the chances of them being identical when they're di/di is 1 in 9.  Either way, it's just nice to know

I have been wondering too... I don't think my boys are identical and maybe you guys can tell by my siggy... but everyone who sees them who's not me, thinks they are... DH still gets confused with them sometimes too...
