s/o of the post below.  Have you had your carseat inspected by a professional installer?[Poll]

Yes, but only the infant seat before DD1 was born.  They went over all the essentials for all seats then and I've felt confident in my ability since then.

Other: I have had them inspected in the past, but my current seats are not inspected. When I used to have a home daycare I had six seats in my car and the woman who does the inspections through our local hospital got to know me on a first name basis, LOL. I don't feel the need to have them checked now; I'm very confident in my ability to install them correctly after being taught by the carseat tech. I'm really anal about how they're installed...

Yes, but only because he is related to us and always checks the car seat installs when people are together.

Yes one of the paramedics that works with my DH is trained in carseat installation, we installed it ourselves but he checked it over for us.

I voted yes because we have 2 volunteer fire fighters who work for us and on more than one occasion, I have asked one of them to switch my carseat(s) to another vehicle.  But I have never gone to an inspection station or clinic.

Yes I did every carseat. Our local police run a carseat safety center twice a month, so I feel like why not? They are the experts not me or DH.

We took a carseat safety class though and felt confident in what we were doing.

We had the infant seat inspected. It was installed perfectly. (Thank you DH.) The technician couldn't get it in the car any tighter than it was. We learned two things: the chest clip wasn't high enough and DD's straps needed to be tightened a bit. It doesn't necessarily matter if the seat is professionally installed if DC isn't buckled in right.

All 3 of our car seat installations passed   The tech said I had done the best job she has seen.  YAY me!!
