Does teething= yucky cough that lasts for weeks?

DH and I have both been sick with cold-like symptoms. I have a dr. appt scheduled for me for tomorrow since my cough has lasted for over 3 weeks now. Luke has also had a cough and it is a congested nasty cough. I wouldn't be so concerned, except his has also lasted weeks. He is teething and drooling a lot. DH is staying home from work with him tomorrow and I'm thinking I might make a doctors appt just to be sure.

In your experience, does teething (molars) cause a really congested sounding cough that won't go away? Thanks!

  • My DD has had a cough like you describe for 3 weeks or so.  It is usually worse in the morning.  She hasn't had a fever and is fine in every other way, so I'm not too concerned.  It is actually getting better now.  I do think she is cutting some teeth and that the cough and teething might be associated.
