Did St. Nick come to your house?

  • I'm Austrian. Damn straight St. Niklas came to our house. And continues to.

  • I was a military brat and we lived in Germany for three years. St. Nick was a huge thing there. We also left our boots outside the door so we would receive a small present in them, I think. It was a very long time ago:)

  • Yup, it's big here. Don't know anyone who doesn't celebrate it.
  • Yup.  My girls will be putting their shoes out again!  Good ol' Catholic school.
  • We do, every year!  We put our shoes outside our bedroom on December 5!
  • Yes, St. Nick came to our house until I was like 21!  I plan to start this year doing it with our daughter.  However St. Nick will be coming a day early because we will be in Florida the next day and we are staying with my brother, SIL and 3 boys.  I don't think it would be right to give my daughter a gift and not their's.  It's not something they do.

Growing up we usualy got a small amount of money, like $5 or something, some candy or maybe a little toy in our shoes.

I think that it is a Catholic thing, but I may be wrong.
