Okay, dollhouse shoppers: what're you getting?

I've been ignoring all the dollhouse posts b/c it never occurred to me to get K one for Christmas, but DH took her browsing at TRU the other day, and she went nuts for them.  Apparently, we're now in the market for one...so, what're you getting, from where, and how much?

We have the loving family grand dollhouse it is a HUGE hit. Not sure how much my Mom bought the dollhouse and we got all the furniture.

DD got his for her birthday and she won't touch it. I spent forever putting those blasted stickers on it too.

I *just* ordered this one today:

Melissa & Doug Multi-Level Solid Wood Dollhouse

It retails for $150, but keep in mind that it comes fully furnished and on Amazon also includes the dolls.  There are various deals online and I've seen it range anywhere from just under $100 - $150.  I evaluated where to buy based on free ship / what type of rewards I get.  Amazon has it on sale for $135 w/free shipping right now.

I wanted something other than a plastic dollhouse.  I just feel like DD will "outgrow" a plastic one sooner.  I like that this one is wood and you could paint/wallpaper the walls.  And eventually you could get "fancier" furniture for it when developmentally appropriate (there is great furniture for the 6+ age group--but I'll wait until both girls are older to invest in that).

We got one last year and DD loves it.  It is by Kidkraft and similar to this, looks like they made a couple of changes to it this year:

It includes furniture but no dolls - DD uses her princesses.  I think it fits up to Barbie sizes.

Right now, it's between two Melissa and Doug dollhouses and their castle.  Here's the three options:

 

 

 

And my original thread about trying to decide, but right now I'm leaning towards either the castle or the second one.  I love love love the first one, but it does seem a bit old and expensive for DD#1 and worry that DD#2 would destroy it.

ETA - The second one and the castle are on sale at Mini Social today.  The second dollhouse is only $106 and castle is $70.  If you don't mind saying I referred you, I think I get $$ (erin at erinkathleen dot com) but either way, thought it was a great price.  I'm hoping to get whatever ordered ASAP.

We got her the chalet dollhouse from Plan Toys. I had found it with furniture for $130 at one point, but DH thought it was too early to buy it for Christmas. I found it on Amazon a couple weeks ago with furniture for $160 (free shipping) and bought it. That was the cheapest I could find. We also bought the nursery furniture set and a set of dolls, so DD is done for Christmas at about $200.
