I'm not a fan. ?I like some boy names for girls, but Christian just seems really masculine and I don't think it sounds good with Brooklyn. ?What about just Kristin or Christina?

There was a soap actress, on Days of Our Lives, Kristian Alfonso (or something). Maybe that's a compromise- keeping the name but girling up the spelling to clue people in....
I think "Christian" is a boy's name, and even with a feminine MN, it still strikes me as odd, and I'm normally a fan of either androgynous or masculine names for girls.
Unlike PP, I do know a female Christian...though I ony recently found out this was her name, she always goes by Chris.
I'm not a fan of the name at all, but maybe that's because I automatically think of the religion. I know a guy named Christian who's not "a Christian," and I think it's really awkward. If I were him I would have changed my name a long time ago, or at least started going by Chris. It's even worse with his last name, but I don't want to post his fill name on a bulletin board...trust me though, it's a laughably bad combination.

I like Christian for a girl and I love, love, love the name Stella! I've heard a lot of typically boys names used for girls lately and I think it's cute and unique.
Christian is way to butch for a girl. It is a very manly name. NMS but I would go with Christina, Krista, etc...if you like the sound of Christian. I love Stella, have a niece and dog with the name (the dog came first ).
Re: Opinion on this girl's name
Same here. I love the name Stella, but Christian is usually a masculine name to me.

Christian for a girl
Stella is nice
Me too. I like the idea of Christine/Christina though. And I like Stella.

I think of Christian as a boy name too, its on our boy list...
BUT... i do think it is MUCH more feminine when you spell it with a K
<Sigh> really? Christian is SOOOOO masculine. Can I ask WHY you would consider this for a little girl?
Stella is really cute.
