daycare teacher gifts

We have to tighten our belts this Christmas (I was laid off about a month ago) and I'm not sure how much to spend on my son's daycare teachers. He's in the 3 year-old room with one main teacher and two assistant teachers. I usually do gift cards. Is $20 for each of them too cheap???

That would be fine - this is what I am doing.

Not at all! I usually do a bouquet of flowers and some homemade cookies. A $10 gift card to a local coffee shop is also good in lieu of cookies.

I think that is fine.  Both of us are work and I usually only give them each $25 gift cards.  We have 4 teachers to buy for.

I think that is plenty if you are on a budget.

I'm on a budget. I have 2 daycare teachers for DD and 2 for DS. I was planning on $25 each with something for the director . . . not sure what.
