i am having second thoughts on nursery bedding-we had decided on mickey mouse but i can't find what i want. i wanted vintage but i can't find anything except for the sports vintage mickey and i don't really like that one. what do you guys think of classic winnie the pooh? is that too girly or could that go for a boy too?? there is much more out there with classic winnie the pooh i think!
Re: second thoughts on nursery theme...
Although I'm not really into character themes, there is definitely a lot of classic pooh out there. And classic pooh is WAY better than not classic pooh---I'm not even sure what that would be called. I also think classic pooh is pretty gender neutral.
Vintage Mickey---you could always go with red, black and white bedding and then just make the nursery theme with decorative pieces.
I absolutely love classic pooh...much better than regular pooh! I would so do classic pooh for our nursery if we were team green! It is very gender neutral...not girly at all! There is so much you can do with it!
Here are some ideas...

This is our bedding, but we only got a few items from the collection: crib sheet (just 1, because they're expensive... we're getting 4 or 5 plain white ones), crib skirt, a valence, and a couple of PR prints. We are supplementing a lot with homemade items made from PR/ Beatrix Potter fabric that I purchased online (valences, diaper stacker, chair cushion and hanging armrest organizers).
This is what it looks like thus far:
