I like the wooden ones best.  But that is my preference, maybe not a little kid's preference.  However since it is my house and my money I get to decide!

I would go with a wooden one too! there are just so many out there and I am considering a "higher quality" one.

I never got one, but man I wanted that Nob Hill one so bad.  LOL.

I wonder if those even exist anymore...

I am looking at one on TRU website.. by Imaginarium (?)  $99, has the furniture, good for "fashion doll" size dolls.  I am debating between it and the fisher price one. I like the wooden ones.  I am thinking of this one b/c if she gets into barbie, she could use it for that.    but I would buy the family doll set first.  She does have a couple of princess dolls she could use with it.

I got Annabelle's at Costco...it's a three story one complete with an elevator and furniture.  Fits most dolls and Barbie sized figures.  It was a good deal at 80 bucks and I call it her "lifetime" dollhouse.  It's big!

I got one of those..... I never finished building it   I think my parents thoguht it would be a good craft project for me (I loved building/sewing/decorating stuff) but it was way to complicated for a kid to put together.

Missed your earlier post, but I got a wooden one for my oldest daughter when she was younger. It was also a bookshelf, and when she stopped using it as a dollhouse, its now a bookshelf in her room.

Kate is getting the Nova Naturals one, Seri's or something like that.  I like that it is wooden and plain--more room for imagination.

LOL, yes, yes I am.  MH told me his nightmare situation is twin girls, haha!  His mom is a twin, but I know we won't be facing that because it passes through the females [I think?].

the craft store that we went to when I was little had them assembled for like double the cost of the kit - that's what I wanted since I was completely non-crafty, haha!  If I ever have a daughter I might ask my dad to do one of the kits for her; he owns his own construction business and is good at that sort of thing.

I love the wood ones too. I ordered DD the chalet style doll house from Plan Toys for Christmas. I've seen it in stores, and it was just adorable with all the little wood furniture sets. It seemed sturdy and good quality too. The only downside is that the dolls for it are about 5-6", so it won't work for Barbie. I'm hoping DD will be okay with just a few Barbie furniture sets and no house, or maybe she can have the house my mom built for us eventually.

 Our library has it in the playroom and DD plays everytime we go and loves it!
