Just a confused little rant....

I don't really have a question, just reading all of your posts and wanted to say hello and Congrats to all.

I received my BFP on Oct 29th and didn't see that coming.  I'm in a newer relationship  (not sure what it is now he's so freaked out) so it has been a HUGE surprise.  I'm not even sure I believe it yet and I find it odd that I don't even go to my confirmation appointment until 9 weeks (I was scheduled for 8 but the daddy-to-be wanted to go and will be out of town that week). Anyway, I haven't really paniced and have remained pretty calm, which is different for me. I'm usually full of anxiety.  I guess I just don't believe it!

I've been on here for the last week, reading everyone's posts and just think it's so surreal that I'm starting this adventure.

Sorry for *ranting*...I just don't have a lot of people to talk to and needed to get this off my chest I guess.  I feel this is my first step towards acceptance and reading all of the positive posts on here has helped as well.

    Most OB's wont see you until around 9 weeks. H&H pg to you :)

    I am not sure if I would call that a "rant", but it will all work out! Newer relationship or not Kids are wonderful! I hop eit all goes well at your 1st appt! We don't have ours till closer to 8 which I hate, but at the same time that just means we are only 32 away =)

     

    Good luck!  And Hey that is great he wants to be there!!! I am sure once the shock wears off you will both be very excited!

    Thanks, that's good to know. I was reading that a lot of people heard heartbeats, etc at 6 weeks, etc on the board so I was beginning to be really confused.  It's like the blind leading the blind right now...lol! Stick out tongue

    Thanks for the encouragement.  I guess you're right, not much of a "rant", more as just free writing, I guess!

    I think eventually we will both be excited as well....it will just take some time.

    We only get U/S because A) We struggled with IF B) We are spotting or C) We have had a M/C before..

    So consider yourself lucky!

    No need to apologize. I'm sure it is confusing and weird since you weren't expecting it. Actually, I was trying to get pregnant and its still confusing, weird and surreal. Hang in there and definitely ask questions-these ladies are a great source of information!
