DS's class is having a skating party from 1-3 on Sunday (during naptime). Will they have fun or just be frustrated? DH and I would skate too/help them. Thoughts?
I went to a friends 6 yr old skate party and it was like really fun/funny for like an hour and then they started falling like flies. Lots of crying whining and all over chaos.
Depends. If each kid has an adult that can skate it would be fun. Otherwise it'll be a huge cry fest. DS takes skating lessons and it's a 2-1 ratio and there are still a lot of tears from kids that get too cold from parents not dressing them correctly!
DS has been skating since 2.5 years. He has a helmet and does much better with his "bob" skates - the double blade skates that attach on to his shoes. I got them at a hockey store for like $6.

I think it will be fun with a parent.
