I used to live in the houston/galveston area.  I miss it soo much this time of year.  I cant stand the cold.

Youll change your tune once you have to get up two hours before work just to shovel a path to get to your car, then you have to get all the snow off your car, warm it up, all the salt rusts the bottom, come home, do it again the next day for months. Not to mention having to buy new tanks to put in the basement to warm your house. Im so over this florida heat, but I wouldnt trade it for that again. I guess the midwest wouldnt be that bad. We are finally getting to a nice 87 around the daytime and its a welcomed drop.

Like PPs said, you wouldn't really think that come Jan or Feb.  It's so cold that you can't wear enough clothes to keep you warm.  I'm glad that I'll be home with DS until mid-Jan so I can avoid a lot of it.  Unfortunately, I'll be back to work during the worst of it...
